Did you know Alberta Mamas was founded in Edmonton, and our current head mama lives here, too? We know a lot about this city and the surrounding area, and want to share that knowledge with you!
Now, a great blog post takes some time to put together, and we always want to make solid content for you, so there are LOTS of things we have on our “to-write” list but haven’t gotten to yet. If there’s something you want to know about, please reach out and we can bump it to the top of the list!
Finally, Alberta Mamas has been around since 2017. While we try to keep our content up to date, sometimes things slip through the cracks. Always confirm with a destination that they’re open/still running the feature you’re interested in before visiting!
This land has welcomed First Nations from across Turtle Island, and settlers and visitors from around the world. Alberta lands are part of Treaties 4, 6, 7, 8 and 10, and the homeland of the Métis. Alberta Mamas respects the sovereignty, lands, histories, languages, knowledge systems and cultures of all Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit nations. We are all Treaty people.

While one of my favourite coffees is called “Deadmonton” this city is far from it. There’s a different festival almost every week of the year, dozens of museums, an insane number of natural parks, playgrounds, and so much more to see and do. It’s on you if you’re bored here.
