Where to Find Family-Friendly Events in Alberta

Swing of the Century at K-Days.

As a mom, I’ll admit I’m often more of a homebody – happy to keep things low-key with the kids and avoid people-packed festivals and celebrations. But every now and then, it’s fun to shake things up and explore the amazing events in Alberta.

From family-friendly festivals and performances, to discovering local makers at a farmers’ market and sneaking out for a much-needed parents-only date night, Alberta is packed with opportunities to make memories.

Whether you’re in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Banff, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, or any of the countless charming communities in between, there’s always something happening.

To help you discover what’s going on close to home or where you’re headed, I’ve rounded up this collection of event calendars from communities all over Alberta.

No matter the season or the reason, these event calendars should help you find your next family outing or solo adventure.

Central Alberta is central to almost everyone in Alberta (see what we did there?), and makes a great destination when meeting with friends scattered across the province.

Why try one of these ideas if you don’t want to theme your visit around an event?
