A standard two-loop waterslide isn’t enough to make it on this list – these pools all have more than your typical Best Western “cool” pool. Whether you’re still looking for a getaway during the summer or a fun “stay”-cation here is a list of hotels with awesome pools across Alberta!

Fantasyland Hotel – Edmonton
Let’s start this off with the biggest and best – West Edmonton Mall’s Fantasyland Hotel and the World Waterpark. Note that admission to the waterpark is not included with your room, but there is a large discount available for guests.
The waterpark has the world’s largest indoor wave pool and more than 20 unique attractions and features. The hotel has super cool theme rooms that will add to the experience and make memories for life.
Port’O’Call – Calgary
The Port’O’Call waterpark is more than 8,000 square feet and features a wading pool and slide for little ones, 2 slides, leisure pool, and 2 hot-tubs.

Radisson Hotel & Suites – Fort McMurray
The cool refreshing pool features a waterslide that everyone will love as well as a hot tub to sit back and relax in! They have a great room with three queen beds – one in a separate room, which is incredible for families!
Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort – High Level
At 4 times the size of the average hotel pool, the 8,500 sq. ft. water park and aquatic centre features a massive waterslide, 15-person hot tub, children’s water playground, basketball nets and more. Large, bright windows offer plenty of natural light while decorative palm trees give a tropical ambience that will make you forget all about the cold weather outside.

These hotels don’t have the amazing waterslides of the Douglas Fir, but their pools are an incredible experience none the less!
Fairmont Banff Springs
The Banff Springs has a hot tub and two saltwater pools – a full 25m indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool. Bonus: they have poolside dining and bar. The hot tub is in a cool stone-lined alcove and there is a water-filled “hallway” between the indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool is open year round and it’s an amazing experience to swim outdoors surrounded by snow!
Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge
This pool features a zero-entry children’s pool, ground jets, themed rocks and tree stump water jets and a mountain themed water play table.

This is a great hotel if you have a mixed age group. Sunset Resorts Canmore & Spa has a kiddie pool with the classic yellow mushroom water feature and a frog slide. The main pool has a waterslide to keep bigger kids entertained.

Medicine Hat’s largest hotel indoor Waterpark. Select your choice of which of the two giant waterslides to conquer or simply take it easy & relax in the family hot tub, kids pool, lane pool or sauna.

While no where near as impressive as the Medicine Hat Lodge, Clarion Pointe has a great indoor waterpark with a waterslide, hot tub, adorable kiddie pool, and free “better-for-you” breakfast.
Holiday Inn Lethbridge – Mariner’s Cove Water Park & Wave
The whole family will love the indoor wave pool & hot tub, three-storey waterslides, and the interactive kiddie pool & splash pad. The pool is also available for the public to access and book for birthday parties.
