Whether planning a staycation, visiting Edmonton with kids, or hoping to have a sleepover without messing up your house, a huge selling point for a family-friendly hotel is a pool with waterslide.

This is the most complete list of Edmonton hotels with waterslides you’re going to find. We get so frustrated by “top 5” and “top 10” lists that ignore the corner of the city we’ve got plans in. So we list everything! We put our favourites first, but check the map – if it exists, we’re on it!

Best Edmonton Hotel Pool: Fantasyland Hotel

World Water Park at West Edmonton Mall

It doesn’t get much better than the world’s largest indoor wave pool with 17 waterslides in the same building as your hotel! Oh, wait. Also an ice rink and amusement park! And shopping… And themed rooms!

Fantasyland Hotel is part of the world famous West Edmonton Mall that held the title of World’s Biggest Mall until 2004 (it’s still North America’s second largest by square footage) and has the largest number of stores (over 800!) in the western hemisphere.

There is an additional charge for access to the attractions. If you book directly with the hotel online or at 1-800-RESERVE there are usually discounts available.

Bonus Savings: Are you willing to walk across the street? West Edmonton Mall Inn is directly north of the mall, offers even better “Stay and Play” attraction rates, and cheaper rooms!

We aren’t calling it a “hotel with pool” for this list, but highly recommend it if you’re looking for the WEM experience on a budget. Plus they have a free breakfast (unlike Fantasyland)!

Runner Up: Wingate by Wyndham – Edmonton West

Coming in at a more reasonable price point, the Wingate by Wyndham Edmonton West has a shallow area with “mushroom” water feature for littles, a water slide for bigger kids, and a hot tub for parents.

Honourable Mention: Best Western Sunrise Inn & Suites

While it isn’t located in Edmonton, this bedroom community hotel has an integrated wading pool with a “mushroom” waterfall and waterslide into the deeper pool. There’s a nice two queen plus sofabed suite for larger families or kids that don’t want to share a bed – and lets parents keep the light on in their room while kids go down earlier.
