About Charmed Family Resorts
It all started with Charmed Playhouses – a family business that has been creating luxurious custom playhouses and dog houses for people around the world since 2015. When owners Tyson and Audrey Leavitt saw the joy and wonder their playhouses could bring, they decided to bring the fairytale experience to a larger audience through the creation of Charmed Resorts.
A stay with Charmed Resort is equal parts camping and magic! Make memories in the great outdoors while enjoying a comfortable stay in a whimsically decorated fairytale cottage.
Charmed Resort Cabins
Guests of all ages can enjoy roasting marshmallows around the campfire, exploring the nearby woods, and taking a soak in the wood-fired hot tubs. Kids will love picking the unique bunk they will sleep in, and discovering the swings, slides, and surprise play elements at each cottage!
There are 15 cottages available to rent at the Blairmore, Alberta resort. Some of our current storybook themed favourites include:
- Rapunzel’s Cottage (sleeps 6),
- Rumplestiltskin’s Tower (sleeps 6),
- Belle’s Cottage (sleeps 6) and
- Beast’s Castle (sleeps 6),
- a Neverland section with
- Tinkerbell’s Treehouse (sleeps 6),
- Hook’s Pirate Ship (sleeps 6),
- Wendy’s Townhouse (sleeps 6), and
- Lost Boys’ Treehouse (sleeps 6),
- Snow White’s Cottage (sleeps 7).
Each handcrafted cottage is incredibly detailed, both inside and out, making it a fun and unique experience for kids and kids at heart!
Charmed Resorts started with just one storybook cottage (Midsummer Cottage, sleeps 6) that opened in the summer of 2020. Nestled in the Crowsnest Pass, it has quickly grown to a 14-cottage resort just outside Blairmore, AB.
This resort is nearing completion, with 3 more cottages to still be added alongside amenities like a cafe and gift shop. Bookings are open year-round, with the summer months booking up a year in advance at the most popular cottages!
Charmed Resorts Mulhurst Bay
In January 2024 Charmed Resorts announced they will begin expanding locations with an all-new resort coming to Pigeon Lake, AB. Charmed Resorts Mulhurst Bay will open the book to more storybook themes, and bring this magical experience closer to visitors in the northern end of the province.
The resort will begin construction in Summer 2024 and be built as part of Parcels Mulhurst Bay – a family-friendly seasonal RV park offering private 1/4 acre recreational lots. Fairytale theming is planned to carry through the amenities and future events offered to both RV Park members and cottage guests.
