KidzGO in YYC

In this city, indoor play places are essential!  You never know when, or for how long, you might be at the mercy of our unpredictable Calgary weather!

You know what I’m talking about…the kids get stir-crazy, the parents aren’t far behind, recess has been cancelled at school for days, and you just need to get out of the house!

Having some options of places to go where everyone in the house, regardless of age, can burn off some steam is going to be your lifesaver at some point in time.  That’s why we were so excited to learn about YYC’s newest indoor play centre, Kidz GO!

Kidz GO is a bright, clean, and diverse indoor playground that is suitable for kids of all ages.  Everyone in the house from your crawlers to your big kids will find something age-appropriate to play on.

The facility is divided into sections based on age…there is a baby/tot area, a kids’ racetrack, a toddler play area, a bouncy house, a larger play structure, and an arcade zone.

On top of this the parent/seating area is really done up nicely with large windows, comfy seats, and high chairs.  They serve a good selection of both fast and healthy foods and, most importantly, they offer excellent quality, local coffee (hello Rosso! www.rossocoffeeroasters.com ).

Need some privacy while you nurse?  There is a small nursing room with seating, a change table, and a hand-washing sink.

Check their website to stay on top of the fun, special events that Kidz GO hosts such as ‘Parent Date Nights’ (aka drop off your kids for care and escape for an evening out) and special ‘Holiday Events’.

Side note: There are a variety of pre-decorated party rooms available for booking if you are looking to book a child’s birthday party sometime in the future.  They have extremely reasonable packages available for as a little as 5 children! Check their website for more details.

What to know before you go:

-Like most indoor play centres, there is no outside food allowed.

-Socks are a must!

-Strollers aren’t permitted, so best to leave them in your car.

-Ill children aren’t able to use the facility.

Parent Tip: Be sure to check to see if you are eligible for a discount!  There are quite a few discount opportunities that are offered.  Visiting during certain hours (morning and evening), visiting with multiple siblings (your third child +), having military status, and visiting with children with special needs may qualify you to receive a bit of a break on your admission!

Also, here’s a bonus – ‘in and out’ privileges are allowed!  Leave to pick up a child from school, or have a meal at home, and return for more playtime when you’re done!

Hours: Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays 9:00am – 9:00pm
