Where to Find Affordable Edmonton Oilers Merch

Oilers jerseys

It’s playoff season and the Oilers are in!

Last year my son outgrew his Oilers jersey, this year it’s my daughter. And I need some new Oilers gear, too, after an unfortunate incident with salsa. With the kids still growing and my fanaticism fairly low, this isn’t something I want to break the bank over, and I’m guessing you don’t either!

There are some great options to find Oilers fan-gear without breaking the bank. Here are some of my top places to shop for cheap Oilers jersey and other merch!

Local Shops

Seven80 Oilers hats and shirts

Shopping local is always my first pick. Whether you head to a second hand shop (list below), or a local store for your Oilers swag, here are a couple places to start:

Second Hand & Thrift Stores

You never know what you’ll discover at your local second hand shop! You’ll probably have better luck finding Oilers apparel when it isn’t playoff season, but it’s always worth a look!

Custom Printers & Makers

Private makers and custom printers need to be cautious about trademark infringement, but the prices are usually reasonable. Some options on where to look include:

  • Etsy
  • Your local shopping centre
  • Facebook Marketplace
  • Karrot

Chain Stores

It’s usually all about mass production and money with chain stores, but at least they usually hit the price point! Some popular Oilers merch stops include:

Online Retailers

If you can wait a day (or ten) for your Oilers gear to arrive, you may have better luck finding sizes online. A few options include:

Final Thoughts

A big thanks to the Alberta Mamas Instagram followers for helping to build this list! I put out the call last playoff season and many of these suggestions come from the responses I received.

I plan to go to Seven80 for their bandwagon hat – at just under $40 it’s a good deal, and reflects my position on sports. (I vaguely follow hockey the rest of the year, but happily hop on the bandwagon to watch playoff hockey.) Their product is Oilers adjacent, but the message is pretty clear!

Unfortunately, Seven80 doesn’t carry kids shirts, and my kids are still a bit small for even an extra small. I’ll probably end up at a big box store for them, and spend about $20 on an Oilers branded t-shirt. If I had any second hand shops closer to home I’d check there first, but I literally drive past Canadian Tire to get anywhere.
